Outline
The Trust4Future training project runs with the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative. It involves a collaboration between Edinburgh Napier University, TAGES RDI, and the Istanbul Blockchain Women Association. Trust4Future aims to develop deep skills in digital trust, including cryptography, blockchain, AI and cybersecurity.
The first training programme runs from March 2025 to June 2025 and will involve four online workshops covering areas of digital trust, such as cryptography, blockchain, digital identity, AI and cybersecurity, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). These workshops will include online lectures, hands-on practical sessions, and speakers.
For the first training programme, we aim to run five major events from March-June 2025:

- Online Workshop 1 (Wednesday, 26 March 2025, 10am CET). Cryptography Fundamentals. View the agenda here.
- Online Workshop 2 (Wednesday, 16 April 2025, 10am CET). Public Key, Digital ID and Blockchain.
- Online Workshop 3 (Wednesday, 7 May 2025, 10am CET). Cyber, AI and Post Quantum.
- Online Workshop 4 (Wednesday, 28 May 2025, 10am CET). Privacy-aware AI and Future Cryptography.
- Online/physical Conference (Tuesday, 24 June 2025, 10am CET): Conference and engagement.
Workshop 1: Basics of Cryptography
This is a five-hour online workshop with a two-hour lecture, two-hour hands-on practical session, and one hour from a guest speaker. The content of this workshop will cover symmetric key encryption, public key encryption, key exchange methods, digital signatures, and digital certificates. Agenda: here.
Workshop 2: Principles of Blockchain, Blockchain Applications and Digital Identity
This is a five-hour online workshop with a two-hour lecture, two-hour hands-on practical session, and one hour from a guest speaker. The content of this workshop will be cryptocurrency, blockchain methods (Bitcoin, Ethereum and Hyperledger), digital identity and applications.
Workshop 3: Cybersecurity and Digital Trust, and The Cybersecurity Aspects of AI
This is a five-hour online workshop with a two-hour lecture, two-hour hands-on practical session, and one hour from a guest speaker.
Workshop 4: Quantum Processing and Post Quantum Cryptography and Privacy-aware and Future Cryptography
This is a five-hour online workshop with a two-hour lecture, two-hour hands-on practical session, and one hour from a guest speaker.
Conference: Digital Trust and The Future
This is a physical/online conference which will cover areas of expertise in digital trust, and will run on Tuesday, 24 June 2025.
